UNBOUND 2026: what HubSpot’s Fall Spotlight means for your team

Adam Judd 6 min read

HubSpot used UNBOUND, its renamed flagship event, to launch the Fall 2026 Spotlight on 16 September: an all-new Breeze Assistant that does work rather than only answering questions, a Smart CRM that can log calls, emails and meetings for you, and a new Context Home that shows how complete the business context behind its AI is. Much of it is available now, some of it is in public beta, and almost all of it works better on a clean, complete CRM.

UNBOUND and the Fall 2026 Spotlight

INBOUND is now UNBOUND. The first one ran from 16 to 18 September 2026 in Boston, and HubSpot unveiled its Fall 2026 Spotlight live at the event. The full update list runs to 134 items.

The idea that ties them together is what HubSpot calls Growth Context: "everything HubSpot knows about your customers, your team, and your business". In practice, the new AI features are only as useful as the records, activity and business information behind them. Most of what follows rewards accounts that are already well kept.

The all-new Breeze Assistant

HubSpot says the new Breeze Assistant "doesn't just answer questions, it now takes action based on the direction you give it". You tell it what you need, it assigns the right agents, and it delivers proposals, reports and campaign plans. It keeps memories, saved prompts and projects, creates artifacts you can share, and shows the context it used for each answer.

According to HubSpot's knowledge base, it is available on all products and plans, but an admin has to switch on "Give users access to Breeze Assistant" in AI settings, and you need a Professional or Enterprise subscription to create an agent or use workflows through it.

The updates around it, with their status:

  • Generally available: connectors to Gong, G2 and Asana; scheduled prompts; custom agent access; artifact sharing, including password-protected external sharing; Breeze Assistant for Gmail; mobile search.
  • Public beta: voice on mobile, revenue context and buying groups.

A Smart CRM that fills itself in, with conditions

The headline promise is a "self-updating Smart CRM" built to be "completely touchless", so that "calls, emails, and meetings can be captured and synced automatically". The Spotlight page gives the starting point: "Connect your email and calendar and it starts building from there."

Note the word "can". The self-updating CRM is a theme that runs across several features, not one product you switch on, and each feature has its own requirements:

  • Notetaker (generally available) records and takes notes in Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. It needs Sales Hub or Service Hub Starter, Professional or Enterprise, a Core, Sales or Service seat, a connected calendar, and Call Recording plus Transcription and Analysis turned on.
  • Mobile Notetaker (public beta) adds one-tap recording in the HubSpot mobile app, on Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional and Enterprise. HubSpot states that the legal basis, disclosures and consents for recording are the customer's responsibility.
  • Deal Progression (public beta, Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional and Enterprise) reads logged meetings, calls and emails, suggests deal property updates and drafts follow-ups for the rep to approve. Some of its features use credits.

So the CRM only updates itself for people whose inbox and calendar are connected, whose meetings are recorded, and whose hubs and seats qualify. For many teams, getting those basics in place is the real project.

Context Home, in brief

Context Home is new and generally available. HubSpot describes it as a way to "view and manage what HubSpot knows about your business in one place, so every team and agent works from the same shared context": your company profile, products and services, brand voice and guidelines, team methodologies and process documents. It gives you a score that shows how complete that context is and where the gaps are.

It is included in all HubSpot editions and sits in Agent Hub. HubSpot has not published how the score is worked out, and nothing says it stops an agent going live, so treat it as a to-do list rather than a pass mark.

The rest of the release, team by team

Agents

Agent Hub and Agent Builder launched in public beta in July and are now generally available. Agent Builder also turns an existing workflow into an agentic workflow in one click. Data Agent CRM research and live testing are generally available too.

Marketing

  • ChatGPT Ads integration (public beta). HubSpot calls itself "the first CRM to integrate with ChatGPT Ads". It is available on all products and plans, but a Super Admin has to opt into the beta, you need an active ChatGPT Ads account with an API key, and your ChatGPT tenant admin has to approve the connection. ChatGPT Ads is also our newest paid media service, planned with your other channels and reported in HubSpot.
  • Native WhatsApp marketing (public beta): "Run WhatsApp campaigns in HubSpot with built-in templates, audience sending, and journey building". HubSpot's templates do not support flow buttons, so forms filled in inside the chat still need another route, such as Flowella from our sister company.
  • Marketing Studio and the Campaign, Content and Nurture agents (all public beta; the agents need Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise).
  • Microsoft Advertising (generally available), Reddit Ads (public beta) and a new landing page editor (public beta).

Sales

  • Prospecting Agent (generally available), which HubSpot says monitors "40+ buying signals".
  • Deal Progression and Deal Plans (public beta).
  • Revenue Agent for invoice collections (new, public beta).

Service

  • A long list of Customer Agent updates, most of them generally available. Customer Agent voice is in public beta.
  • Knowledge Base Agent (public beta), SMS in Help Desk (new, public beta) and an omnichannel waitlist in Help Desk (public beta).

Data and connectors

  • Data model health check (generally available), which scans your objects, properties, associations, pipelines and lifecycle stages for problems.
  • AI connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, and the HubSpot MCP Server (all generally available); Agent CLI (public beta).
  • HubSpot Work for onboarding and launches, and personalised navigation (both new, public beta); redesigned CRM records (private beta).

What to switch on first

Before any agent, read the credits rate sheet. Agents are paid for in HubSpot Credits, and the rates vary widely: a Customer Agent resolution on a text channel costs 50 credits, a lead the Prospecting Agent recommends for outreach 100, a Nurture Agent personalised email 10, a Content Agent piece 1,000, and a single AI action in a workflow 10. Extra capacity costs USD 10 per 1,000 credits. Work out what a normal month would cost before you switch anything on.

Then, in this order:

  1. Connect every inbox and calendar. It is the starting point for the self-updating CRM, and it improves your activity data even if you go no further.
  2. Turn on Notetaker for the teams that qualify, with Call Recording and Transcription and Analysis on, and agree your recording notices with whoever looks after data protection.
  3. Give users Breeze Assistant and start with a narrow, repeatable job, such as a weekly pipeline report set up as a scheduled prompt.
  4. Run the data model health check and fill in Context Home before any customer-facing agent goes live. Both are included in every plan.
  5. Pilot the betas with one team. Deal Progression, WhatsApp marketing and ChatGPT Ads are worth trying, but a beta can still change, so start with one team or one campaign and review it after a month.

If you would like help deciding which of these fit your account, and in what order, our HubSpot team can take you from connected inboxes to your first agent.
