Countryside Alliance WhatsApp consent campaign through Flowella, October 2025 to January 2026. Flowella reporting, 5 January 2026.
“Flowella made it easy to run a WhatsApp-led donation campaign alongside HubSpot. We could trigger HubSpot workflows based on WhatsApp actions, so reminders and follow-ups were automated, timely, and actually relevant.”
Where it started
Clean data first. Then WhatsApp.
The appeal worked because the records underneath it were right. In 2024 we moved Countryside Alliance off Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Before
Years of records in Dynamics 365
49membership grades to map
- Gift Aid declarations stored as linked records
- Donation categories that did not match HubSpot's
- Duplicates left by an earlier partial sync
- A fixed deadline in June 2024
After
One CRM, ready for WhatsApp
150,000+contact records moved into HubSpot in the first half of 2024
- Memberships, deals and donation history carried across
- Tested in a sandbox, then on a live sample
- “No disruption to our operations”, in the client's words
- Then 3,651 supporters opted in to WhatsApp
The work
Member services people use.
Screens from the member platform we support for SGI-UK, and a WhatsApp Flow that sends its answers straight to HubSpot.

SGI-UK
A national membership, moved in stages.
Around 27,000 member records are now in HubSpot. Each stage is agreed and signed off before the next begins.

Platform support
We support and develop SGI-UK's member platform: website, member records, shop and reports.

Proof of concept
A secure membership page, a member data import and an API layer, tested before any commitment.

First services on HubSpot
SGI-UK signs off the second stage: online offerings through Stripe, with optional Gift Aid, recorded against each member.
Sep 2026, happening now
Members' portal
Invitation-only sign-in through Microsoft Entra External ID, so members keep their own details up to date.
Next, next
Events, courses and the shop
Later stages bring events, courses, subscriptions and the shop onto the same foundation.

Questions from membership bodies and charities.
Can you move us from another CRM to HubSpot?
Yes. For Countryside Alliance we moved more than 150,000 contact records from Microsoft Dynamics 365, including memberships, deals and donation history, testing in a HubSpot sandbox and on a small live sample before the full run.
How do supporters opt in to WhatsApp?
Usually through a consent campaign to people who already hear from you by email. Countryside Alliance's brought 3,651 supporters onto WhatsApp. Opt-outs are honoured automatically, and every consent change is logged against the contact.
Can supporters donate inside WhatsApp?
They choose an amount and how often inside the chat, then follow a link to your online checkout. Flowella does not take payments itself.
Can members update their own details?
Yes. A members' portal on HubSpot lets members sign in, see their own profile and keep their contact details up to date. We are building one for SGI-UK now.
Do you work with professional bodies?
Yes. Since January 2025 we have run IWFM’s Google and Meta campaigns and supported its move onto HubSpot Marketing Hub, with conversions reported in the CRM. See the IWFM case study.
What does it cost to start?
HubSpot support starts at £496 a month for 4 hours, and project work is £992 a day, plus VAT. See pricing.
